PERTH VAGINAL REJUVENATION TREATMENTS
Perth Vaginal
rejuvenation is essentially a facelift for the vulva and vagina. It often
combines a vaginoplasty and labiaplasty
(labia reduction) to tighten the inner walls of the vagina and improve its
outer appearance for a refreshed look and feel.
With the
availability of recent technology, there are few nonsurgical vaginal
rejuvenation options available for our patients. CO2 fractionated lasers
include the Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment, Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation and IntimaLase. The ThermiVa as
radiofrequency energy that can also treat the outer Labia to reduce and tighten
this area. It can increase blood flow, sensitivity, and orgasm. It can increase
moisture and decreasestress urinary incontinence for
many women.
PRP ( Platelet Rich Plasma ) can be added to these procedures
which may make a difference in the outcome. It can be injected into the vaginal
mucosa to increase circulation and vaginal health , O-shot.PRP can also be used for a “G” Shot which is injected
into the G-spot.
Costs for
non-surgical laser vaginal rejuvenation are approximately 3000 - for 3 sessions.Twice yearly or yearly follow up treatments are
recommended to maintain vaginal health. If PRP is being added there is an
additional $1000-1200 per treatment session.
However,
surgery is the most common treatment. Each procedure is customized to the
physical findings as well as the desired goals of the patient. There is no one
right solution for all patients, but there is a solution for every woman.
PERTH VAGINAL
REJUVENATION TREATMENT perform a variety of treatments and surgeries to
enhance, restore and rejuvenate the female genital region. This includes procedures
to improve moisture, sensitivity and tighten the vaginal canal; which can
enhance orgasm and restore or improve the appearance of the vulva.
Laser Vaginal
Rejuvenation Perth includes the labia minora, labia majora, the clitoral region
and the vestibule of the vagina.
When
necessary and capable, a vaginoplasty may be combined
with a Labiaplasty. Or, if the outer labia or labia
majora may also be excessively large, uneven, or may be too small, the size may
be increased with fat injections. Like all
other organs in our bodies, the vagina and vulva are not immune to the effects
of time, especially during and after menopause. The female genital tract is
particularly affected by declining oestrogen production.
Almost 50% of
women in their 40’s and beyond experience symptoms of genital atrophy which can
significantly affect their sexual experience and quality of life. Fractionated
CO2 laser vaginal rejuvenation PERTH VAGINAL REJUVENATION TREATMENT is a
breakthrough non-surgical procedure for treating age-related vaginal atrophy
(“atrophic vaginitis”). This is a safe, effective and long-lasting solution
without the adverse side effects of drug therapies.
What is Perth
Vaginal Atrophy?
With age and
declining oestrogen levels, the wall of the vagina loses collagen, becomes
thinner and the natural elasticity and blood supply is reduced. The protective
lining of the vagina loses hydration and thickness, causing a loss of
lubrication and changes in the natural balance of the internal environment.
This can result in symptoms such as:
Loss of
lubrication and dryness
Vaginal itch
and burning
Uncomfortable
or painful sexual intercourse (Dyspareunia)
Urinary
urgency and incontinence
Vaginal
loosening / laxity
These
symptoms can have a negative effect on your general wellbeing and place stress
on your intimate relationships.
In addition,
younger women who have used the Pill for prolonged periods, breast-feeding
mothers, women who experienced traumatic delivery, and patients with breast
cancer may also suffer from these symptoms.

As we age, our bodies go through a
transformation. For many women, the aging process and childbirth take a toll on
the vagina, which stretches and loses muscle tone over time. This natural
occurrence can lead to reduced sexual satisfaction (for both partners),
embarrassment and a loss of self-esteem that can blindside even the most
confident of women.
Along with feeling embarrassed, many
women don’t realize a surgical solution – Vaginal rejuvenation in Perth – is
available to help women regain Vaginal tightness, sexual pleasure and a more
youthful looking vagina.
“Loss of Vaginal tightness with
decreased sexual gratification is incredibly common, especially for women who
have had difficult or multiple childbirths. It’s a condition any woman should
feel at ease discussing with her doctor, because there are options and
effective medical treatment is available,” says .
With the Women’s Wellness Institute of
Perth, Perth Vaginal Reconstruction created a nurturing, spa-like environment

What Is Laser vaginal rejuvenation and stress
incontinence treatment Vaginal Rejuvenation?
Vaginal rejuvenation surgery, also known
as vaginoplasty or Vaginal
tightening, is an elective surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia. Vaginal rejuvenation surgery is not an
aesthetic procedure – it is a functional procedure involving the tightening of
the inner and outer muscles and structures of the vagina enhancing Vaginal muscle tone, strength and control.
Vaginal Rejuvenation Perth “The primary goal of Vaginal
rejuvenation surgery is
to enhance sexual gratification for the patient. This is achieved by reducing
the internal and external diameter of the vagina and tightening the internal
muscles to a patient’s specifications, thereby increasing friction experienced
during intercourse.”
Experienced Laser vaginal rejuvenation and stress incontinence treatment Vaginal rejuvenation
doctors also pay
special attention to the appearance of the Vaginal area to create a more
youthful look.
Some women also elect to combine their Vaginal
rejuvenation with
other aesthetic Vaginal surgeries, such as Vaginal Trjuvination
- Labiaplasty, clitoral hood reduction and hymenoplasty.
Patients often ask what the difference
is between non-laser Vaginal rejuvenation and laser Vaginal rejuvenation
procedures. For, the option recommends is based on the
individual patient’s needs. Both laser and non-laser procedures are available at
the Women’s Wellness Institute of Perth.
“The difference between non-laser and laser Vaginal rejuvenation is that non-laser Vaginal rejuvenation
surgery is the
surgical instrument utilized during the case. A Diode 980 laser is an option,
as are non-laser options such as an electric scalpel (Bovie)
or radiofrequency (RF) technique (Ellman). Vaginal
Rejuvenation Surgery is the best option for women experiencing significant Vaginal relaxation and/or pelvic organ prolapse.”

of increasing-diameter dilators. The procedure took several months and was
sometimes painful. It was not effective in every instance.[2]
Reconstructive
surgery for congenital adrenal hyperplasia
Further
information: Congenital adrenal hyperplasia
Adrenal
hyperplasia is a congential endocrine disorder in genotypical females that influences the formation of the
external genitalia. Most parents choose reconstructive surgery for their infant
females to reverse the virilization effects of the
disorder. The virilization occurs because there is a
21-hydroxylase deficiency. Corrective Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty is scheduled at the age of one to
two-years-old as single feminizing genitoplasty.
Specific procedures include: clitoral reduction, Vaginal Trjuvination
- Labiaplasty, normalizing appearance, vagina
creation. initiating Vaginal dialation.
When the girl enters puberty, a reevaluation is done
and continued dilation is performed by the girl. A normal sized vagina can be
achieved in months

cases, normal sexual function can be restored
McIndoe surgical technique
A
canal is surgically constructed between the urinary bladder and urethra in the
anterior portion of the pelvic region and the rectum. A skin graft is used from
another area of the person's body. The graft is removed from the thigh,
buttocks, or inguinal region. It is then wrapped around a mold
and placed into the surgically created canal. Other materials have been used to
create the lining of the newly created vagina. These have been cutaneous skin
flaps, amniotic membranes, and buccal muscosa

Sex
reassignment surgery
Sex
reassignment surgery to create a vagina consists of using segments from the
large intestine or small intestine. In addition, penile-scrotal skin flaps are
also used. Nongenital full-thickness graft (FTG) or
split-thickness skin grafts from other parts of the body have been used.
Inversion of the penile skin is the method most often selected by surgeons
performing gender reassignment surgery. The inverted penile skin uses inferior
pedicle skin or abdominal skin for the lining of the created vagina. The skin
is cut to form an appropriate-sized flap. The skin flap is sometimes combined
with a scrotal or urethral flap Perth Sex reassignment therapy is often part of
the treatment plan.

Some surgeries are needed for discomfort occurring from chronic labial
irritation that develops from tight clothing, sex, sports, or other physical
activities. The post-operative outcome of Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty is variable; it usually allows coitus (sexual
intercourse) after a week, although sensation might not always be present. In
fertile women, menstruation and fertilization may be possible when the uterus

Laparoscopic
peritoneal pull through Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty[edit]
A
simple new laparoscopic peritoneal Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty was described in a series of 36 patients with long term replicable excellent results culminating in normal
Vaginal development. A total of 36 patients with congenital absence of vagina
(MRKH syndrome) were treated with laparoscopic peritoneal pull through technique
of Perth Western Australia (modification
of Davidov’s procedure) between 2003 and 2012. The
new technique of laparoscopic peritoneal Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty described by the author has not only produced
excellent results due to peritoneal metaplasia, but it has also resulted in the
formation of normal vagina. This new surgical technique is comparatively simple
with no morbidity. The neovagina has an acidic pH and
normal cytology. Average operative time was 1-1.5 hrs. Average hospital stay
was three days; there were no intra-operative and post-operative complications.
All the patients had adequate Vaginal length of about
7 to 8 cm, admitting a full-size Sims’ speculum. The neovagina
offers patients good coital function with natural lubrication and pleasure, a
function which is otherwise denied by nature in the context of their earlier
quandary.[citation needed]
Perth Vecchietti
procedure
In
treating müllerian agenesis, the Vecchietti
procedure is a laparoscopic surgical technique that produces a vagina of
dimensions (depth and width) comparable to those of a normal vagina (ca. 8.0
cm. deep). A small, plastic sphere (“olive”) is threaded (sutured) against the
Vaginal area; the threads are drawn though the Vaginal skin, up through the abdomen,
and through the navel. There, the threads are attached to a traction device,
and then daily are drawn tight so that the “olive” is pulled inwards and
stretches the vagina, by approximately 1.0 cm. per day, thereby creating a
vagina, approximately 7.0 cm. deep by 7.0 cm. wide, in 7 days. The mean
operating room (OR) time for the Vecchietti Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty is approximately 45 minutes; yet, depending
upon the patient and her indications, the procedure might require more time. The outcomes of Vecchietti
technique via the laparoscopic approach are found to be comparable to the
procedure using laparotomy. In Vaginal hypoplasia, traction Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty such as the Vecchietti
technique seems to have the highest success rates both anatomically (99%) and
functionally (96%) among available treatments.
Wilson
Method
The
penile-inversion technique of the Wilson Method is different from the
traditional penile-inversion technique in that it is a three-stage surgery, comprising
a two-stage initial
Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation Vaginoplasty.
The Wilson Method surgery is initially performed like a traditional penile
inversion, until the Vaginal-vault creation step, in which the vault of the
vagina is left unfinished, as a raw surface, and is packed with a sterile
stent, which, after 5–7 days, then is lined with a skin graft harvested from
the buttocks. The penile skin is used to create the labia minora, clitoral
hooding, and the anterior fourchette (frenulum); the
glans penis is used to create the clitoris, and the scrotum is used to create
the labia majora.

Q:
What is Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty?
A:
Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
is an out-patient procedure performed to sculpt the
skin surrounding the Vaginal opening called the labia. When elongated, the
labia minora (inner labia) may interfere with exercise or intercourse and can
limit clothing options due to the appearance of a bulge or discomfort. The
labia majora may also sag, protrude or cause issues with intercourse and/or
hygiene. Most patients who undergo Vaginal Trjuvination
- Labiaplasty do not want the labia minora to
protrude beyond the labia majora (outer labia) or want to avoid the appearance
of a “camel toe”.
Q:
How long does Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty take?
A:
Individual procedures typically take between 1 and 2 hours. Combination
procedures take longer depending on the surgeries requested by the patient.
Q: Where is the surgery performed?
A:
Surgeries are performed in our Perth private surgical suite. Since 2007 it has
been accredited by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory
Surgical Facilities (AAAASF), the gold standard in patient safety. Our
all-female surgical staff specializes in cosmetic
Vaginal surgery emphasizing patient safety, comfort, and peace of mind. Most of
our patients tell us this is preferable to a hospital setting or a large
surgery center as patient privacy is more fully
protected and a patient is never exposed to hospital based germ
cross-contamination. The surgical suite is also superior to in-office
procedures because we can use more appropriate anesthesia
to achieve the best cosmetic results for our patients. and her surgical
team have thousands of hours of experience in this state of the art facility.
Q: How much does Perth Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty cost?
A:
Fees range from $6000 to $8000 including the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia
fee, facility fee, all pre and post-operative appointments, and blood work. A
quote based on your specific medical history, physical exam and desired goals
will be provided upon the conclusion of your initial consultation.
Q:
What about financing? A: Women’s
Wellness Institute of Dallas has made arrangements with Care Credit and United
Medical Credit to offer financing plans including six months/no interest.
Q: Is there a fee for the initial consultation
with the surgeon?
A:
No. The initial consultation is complimentary and focuses on an individualized
plan of care to address each patient’s aesthetic desires. Surgical procedures
are discussed in detail, before and after photos are reviewed, and all
post-surgical protocols are explained.
Q:
Is Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
covered by my insurance? A: Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty is
usually categorized as an elective procedure such as breast augmentation,
liposuction or abdominoplasty. In our experience, it is covered as an insurance
benefit only when associated with nipple reconstruction following a mastectomy.
It is important that you check with your insurance company BEFORE scheduling
any procedures.
Q:
Should I have my Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty performed by a plastic surgeon or by an
OB/GYN? A: The answer is neither.
Plastic surgeons tend to focus the majority of their practice and time on the
most common elective procedures, including breast augmentation and face lifts.
Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation, if performed at all, is a secondary procedure they
rarely have the opportunity to perform with limited expertise. General
OB/GYN’s, while examining hundreds of women monthly for pap smears or yeast
infections, have minimal if any training or experience performing a state of
the art Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation for premium aesthetic and functional results.
Cosmetic gynecologic surgery is ideally performed by
a surgeon who specializes in the field of aesthetic Vaginal
surgery. Ideally, patients will seek out a specialist who has performed
hundreds or thousands of labiablasty procedures and
is intimately familiar with the varied anatomy, patient preferences and latest
surgical management to provide optimal results both aesthetically and
functionally. To choose a qualified cosmetic Vaginal surgeon: Verify credentialsReview before and after photosConsider

Q:
Why should I choose Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation as my surgeon over other
surgeons?
A:As a specialist in cosmetic Vaginal surgery has years of experience performing labiaplasties on a weekly basis. Many surgeons in the area
do perform labiaplasties, but only a few cases each
year and they are secondary procedures behind face lifts and breast
augmentation. has
years of training as a Vaginal surgeon and has studied with both Dr. David Matlock and Dr. Red Alinsod, both widely recognized pioneers in the field of
cosmetic Vaginal surgery. Patients are typically thrilled with their aesthetic
results, and all patient survey results are available for review during the
initial consultation. Numerous before and after photos provided on this site,
and even more during the consultation, attest to the various extremes of
anatomy that has
transformed. Moreover, as a female, fully comprehends the sensitive nature of
the subject and is able to communicate with empathy and understanding. Our
entire office staff is female including all of the physicians and nurses. Many
patients say they feel more comfortable, respected, and protected being

- Labiaplasty. The suite is reserved for cosmetic Vaginal surgeries ONLY providing an exclusive, comfortable,
patient-focused and practiced experience throughout your stay with us.
Q:
What symptoms are typical among women who elect to have Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty? A: Common complaints include labial pain and
irritation from rubbing against clothing (especially jeans and workout clothes),
as well as interference with activities including intercourse, tampon
placement, urination, cycling or horseback riding and the appearance of a bulge
when wearing certain clothes. For some women elongated or asymmetrical labia
may cause embarrassment or interfere with a sexual relationship. A significant
percentage of our patients simply do not like the appearance of their labia and
request subtle sculpting.
Q: What are the surgical risks of Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty? A: Risks of surgery are extremely rare and
seen in less than 1% of cases. Complications may include infection, bleeding,
scarring and nerve injury – the risks involved with pregnancy and delivery are
significantly higher than any risks associated with Vaginal Trjuvination
- Labiaplasty with an experienced surgeon.
Q:
What types of anesthesia are available? A: General anesthesia
and IV sedation (twilight anesthesia) are available.
Your particular anesthetic will be determined
according to your desire after a discussion with our anesthesiologist.
Q:
What is recovery like after Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty? A: Most
patients are up and about the afternoon of their surgery day. During the first
24 -48 hours after surgery, patients should place ice packs or frozen peas on
their incisions to minimize swelling and bruising. Routine tasks are encouraged
as long as there is no irritation or pressure at the incision sites. Loose
clothing and cotton underwear “granny panties” are mandatory. By 72 hours you
may resume regular activities, making sure there is minimal friction to the
labia. Patients may drive the next day, as long as they are not taking
prescription pain medications or muscle relaxers. Patients may return to work
within 2-3 days as long as rigorous physical activity is avoided. The stitches
will usually dissolve by the 6 week follow-up appointment. During the 6 week
recovery, patients are on pelvic rest (no intercourse or tampons) and should
avoid bath tubs/hot tubs or swimming in the lake or ocean. Rigorous exercise, cycling,
horseback riding, jet skis, motorcycles and four wheelers should be avoided
during the recovery period.
Q: How soon after surgery can I return to
work? A: Most patients return to work
within 2 – 3 days.
Q:
What kind of pain can I expect after Vaginal Trjuvination
- Labiaplasty?
A: Pain overall is minimal due to nerve blocks and local anesthetic injected at the conclusion of the case. You
should expect limited pain for the first 18-24 hours. After this, most patients
report mild to moderate discomfort and swelling for a few days which can be
easily controlled by analgesics and cold compresses. You are likely to have
some continued soreness for a few weeks after surgery usually requiring only
anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen.
Q:
How soon may I have sex after surgery?
A: We ask that you abstain from sexual intercourse and masturbation for
6 weeks to ensure the best aesthetic results.
Q: Will I have a scar after Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty? A: Any incision on the body will leave some
form of scar. Labial scarring, however, tends to be minimal as the incisions
are small, the tissue is thin with a good blood supply and labia naturally have
a slightly “wrinkled” appearance prior to surgery already. The goal of surgery
is to have such a natural appearance that your OB/GYN doesn’t even realize you
had surgery.
Q:
Will Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
affect my sexual satisfaction? A: For
some women, enhanced self-confidence and reduced labial tissue can actually
improve sexual experience and sensation. A patient’s ability to achieve
stimulation and clitoral orgasms should not be diminished as takes paramount
care to spare the clitoris any injury during surgery protecting this very
sensitive organ at all times.
Q:
How long will it take for me to see my final results? A: Final optimal results are typically
appreciated 4-6 months after surgery. By the 6 week clearance appointment, the
stitches should have dissolved and most of the bruising and swelling will have
resolved.
Q:
Can Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
be combined with other cosmetic surgical procedures? A: Yes. Many times patients choose to combine
Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation with Vaginal Trjuvination
- Labiaplasty for a full feminine make over. In
addition, works
with a number of plastic surgeons to combine elective procedures such as breast
augmentation, liposuction, or tummy tucks. With this option your surgery will
be conducted in a single surgical session, thereby minimizing the risk,
inconvenience and cost of multiple surgeries.
Q: I am from out of town. How long before I
can travel back home after my surgery?
A: Many of our patients travel nationally and internationally to undergo
Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
with . Most prefer a long distance initial
consultation which may be scheduled by calling our office or via the contact
page on this site. If a patient wishes to pursue Vaginal Trjuvination
- LabiaplastyPerth Laser Acne Treatmentarrives
the evening before surgery and should remain in the Dallas area for 24 hours
after surgery. Our concierge service is accustomed to facilitating hotel
reservations, transportation services, private in-room nursing and recommending
entertainment venues, delicious five star restaurants and Texas-sized shopping
sprees.
Q:
Does perform laser Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty? A: is proficient with many surgical instruments
including the laser, electric scalpel, Ellman surgitron device, surgical scissors and the traditional
scalpel. The instrument best suited for your particular surgery will be
discussed during your initial consultation and the advantages and disadvantages
of each instrument may be reviewed in detail.
Q:
What do “normal” labia look like? A:
There is no such thing as “normal” labia, just as “normal” breast size is
impossible to define. Every woman displays her own individualized anatomy –
labia are thick or thin, dark or pink, and labia come in every variable size
and shape. A woman’s labia are never considered abnormal. When women request
Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
of the labia minora (inner lips) they usually request that the labia not
protrude beyond the labia majora (outer lips). Women wish to have tight, smooth
and youthful looking labia majora that don’t sag or bulge. The bottom line is
if your labia bother you it’s time to explore your options.
Q:
May I personally speak with other patients who have had Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty
performed by ?
A: Yes. Many of our previous patients have offered to speak with other
women who are considering Vaginal Trjuvination - Labiaplasty. Q: Is it possible to lighten the dark skin on
my labia and in the Vaginal area? A: Darker skin, attributed to hormonal
changes or genetic factors, can usually be addressed surgically, with
prescription cream, or with in-office chemical peels. During your consultation will
clarify your individual options.

Vaginal Rejuvenation FAQ's
Q:
What is the Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation?
A:
It is a medical laser that delivers controlled energy to the Vaginal tissue to
revitalize the cells in the Vaginal mucosa (Vaginal tissue) so that these cells
make more collagen; an essential ingredient in Vaginal cell health. The
treatment improves the state of the mucosa that lines the Vaginal
walls through mini-invasive laser-assisted procedures. The Perth Vaginal
Rejuvenation is not an aesthetic treatment, as the term “rejuvenation” may
suggest, because the beneficial effects of the treatment “rejuvenates” the
Vaginal tissue, restoring the functionality lost over time.
Q:
What does the Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation treatment consist of?
A:
The Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation treatment is performed using a special CO₂
fractional laser, specifically designed for this type of application. The
procedure is carried out in the office and usually does not require anesthesia. It does not involve incisions or sutures and
the sessions last 15-20 minutes.
Q:
Where can I have this done?
A:
The Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation is an in-office procedure that Dr. Wesley Anne Brady, MD can perform right here at the
Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas.
Q:
Does the procedure hurt?
A:
The procedure is virtually painless and requires no anesthesia.
Some patients may experience some discomfort the first time the probe is
inserted, but the actual treatment is not painful. Q: How long does it
take? A: The actual treatment takes just
a few minutes. You can expect the treatment appointments to last about 15
minutes. Your initial consultation will take between 20 – 40 minutes.
Q:
What type of results can I expect?
A:
Most patients report a reduction in dryness, burning sensation and pain during
intercourse, which contributes to a substantial improvement in the quality of
life. These results are possible, thanks to the stimulation of the mucosa,
which regenerates and “rejuvenates”. This process involves cells and tissues
and requires a few weeks to be completed. Results are more noticeable one and a
half months after the session.
Q:
What are the benefits of this procedure?
A: The Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation allows for functional restoration of
the vagina, which helps fight and reduce symptoms related to Vaginal
atrophy, a widespread problem among pre and post-menopausal women. Thanks to
its action on factors that determine dryness, fragility and loss of mucosal
elasticity, this treatment can eliminate troublesome itching, irritation and
pain, which become particularly acute during intercourse. The interaction with
the laser is, in fact, the ideal method to stimulate the collagen contained in
the Vaginal walls for the rehydration and functional
tissue restoration. Its beneficial action can contribute to improve
self-confidence and sexual pleasure.
Q: When will I see results? A: Most patients feel improvement after the
very first treatment, although the procedure calls for 3 treatments over a
12-week period.
Q:
How long does it last? A: Patients
should expect to come back annually for a maintenance treatment in order to
make the results last over the course of time.
Q:
What are my limitations after the procedure is done?
A: We require that patients refrain from
sexual activity for 48 hours.
Q:
How is the recovery? A: Most women
report slight localized discomfort following the laser treatment and during the
first few days after the session. Many have reported to have resumed their
normal routine after one to three days. During the healing period, it may be
recommended to avoid lifting weights or some activities, such as taking a hot
bath, or physical exercise. Dr. Wesley Anne Brady
will provide you with specific indications for a speedy recovery.
Q:
For which women is the Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation laser treatment most
suitable? A: For any woman with Vaginal
atrophy due to physiological hormone changes, which become inevitable over
time. In particular, Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation is the ideal treatment for
those who are looking for a less invasive procedure, compared to traditional
surgical or pharmaceutical treatments. Remember, no one can advise you better
about Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation and what is best for you to achieve your best
results than your doctor.
Q:
For which women is the Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation laser not indicated? A: There is no exclusion criteria for Perth
Vaginal Rejuvenation, other than those related to serious local and/or systemic
diseases. In general, all women in menopausal age can benefit from this
treatment; however, your doctor must determine whether you are compatible.
Q: Can Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation be used to
treat Vaginal laxity?
A: The term “loose vagina” refers to a condition where the diameter of
the vagina has increased. This is often caused by natural yet traumatic events,
such as giving birth or tissue relaxation due to the natural aging process. In
these cases, it is essential to evaluate the cause and state of the vagina to
exclude a prolapse or involvement of the muscles. The CO₂
fractional laser allows treating those cases where the “loose vagina” is due to
a loss of mucosal tone. For other causes, provides surgical options including
Vaginal Rejuvenation, or Vaginoplasty. At your
initial consultation, we can determine cause and options.
Q: Are there any risks?
A:
There are some minimal risks. The treatment is performed on an outpatient
basis. Most women report temporary side effects, slight redness or swelling,
some discomfort that usually disappears in one or two days.
\
Q: Can the Perth Vaginal Rejuvenation be used on the outside of the vagina as
well? A: Yes, this special laser therapy
can be used on the labia and vulva to resolve vulvar itching, burning, and
dryness and to achieve a firmer and more youthful appearance of the Vaginal
area.
BioTE FAQ's
Q:
What are bioidentical hormones? A:
Bioidentical hormones are derived from a natural plant source and
professionally compounded to be biologically identical to the human form of estradiol and testosterone. The body is given what it can
no longer produce.
Q: What can I expect bioidentical hormones to
do for me? A: Bioidentical hormone
therapy can provide the following benefits: Increased energy levelsRestore or increase sexual driveConsistency
in moodsNo more roller coaster effectRelief
from anxiety or depressionDecreased body fatIncreased mental clarity and focusGreater
capacity for getting the body in shape
Q: How often will I need treatment?
A:
It depends on the person, but anywhere from 4-6 months.
Q:
What are Pellet Therapy Side Effects?
A:
Unlike other forms of hormone therapy, there are few side effects. Two percent
of patients experience mild acne or facial hair, and less than 1% experience
hair thinning. All of these mild side effects are easily treatable. BioTE Medical’s hormone pellet therapy side effects are
minimal when compared to other hormone delivery methods. That’s because BHRT
pellet therapy delivers consistent amounts of hormones 24 hours a day, for 4 to
6 months.
Q:
I get horrible headaches, will this help me?
A:
Yes! Bioidentical therapy has had great success with hormone related headaches.
Q:
If I am a woman, do I still need estrogen?
A:
Bioidentical absorbable estrogen is the most
important hormone for a woman to protect her against heart attack, stroke, as
well as osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s. Synthetic estrogen
taken orally does not offer the universal benefits.
Q:
I have no libido, what will this do for that, if anything?
A:
Good hormone balance should greatly improve your sexual desires.
Q:
Will I grow unwanted hair from the testosterone?
A:
There is less chance of hair growth with bioidentical hormones than with
synthetic treatments.
Q:
Do I need other medications?
A:
Women may also need progesterone to protect the uterine lining, unless the
uterus has been removed.
Q: What’s the Difference Between Bioidentical
Hormone Pellets and Creams?
A:
There are a number of ways that hormone pellet therapy differs from
bioidentical creams. BHRT pellet therapy is injected subcutaneously, resting
beneath the skin. This injection eliminates the “roller coaster” effect that
often accompanies BHRT creams.
Q: What Does Pellet Therapy Cost? A:
Generally, the BHRT pellet therapy cost is competitive with other hormone
therapy delivery methods. The Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas charges $350
for female pellets, which typically last between 4-6 months (that breaks down
to $88-$116 a month, depending on how often you require pellets). The male
charge for pellet therapy is $650 and typically lasts 6 months (breaking down
to roughly $110 per month). Of course, the cost of hormone pellet therapy can
differ based on your individual treatment plan and needs. Please also note,
this is the charge for the pellet, not for any pre or post pellet appointments.
Q:
What is Hormone Pellet TherapyA: Pellet Therapy uses
hormones derived from natural plant sources to replicate the body’s normal
hormonal levels. Patients have found that bioidentical hormone replacement
therapy with pellet implants is extremely effective. Implants, placed under the
skin, consistently release small, physiologic doses of hormones providing
optimal therapy. Unlike typical oral and transdermal forms of therapy – which
produce “roller coaster” hormone levels, resulting in mood and energy
fluctuations for the patient – BioTE Medical Hormone
Pellet Therapy, is the only method of hormone therapy that provides sustained
hormone levels throughout the day, for up to 4 to 6 months, without any “roller
coaster” effect. Because the hormones used are completely natural, Pellet Therapy
is ideal for patients wanting the benefits of a natural hormone, without the
drawbacks of a synthetic.
Q: What are Hormone Pellets? A: Pellets
contain a natural plant source of estrogen and
testosterone. A compounding pharmacist, using strict federal guidelines,
compounds the estrogen and testosterone utilized in
the pellets. These pellets, which are smaller than a grain of rice, are placed
in the fatty tissue underneath the skin and most closely mimic the actions of
healthy ovaries and testicles with regards to hormone release into the
bloodstream. The hormone pellet implantation procedure is easily performed in
the office.
Q:
Hormone Pellet Therapy for Women: A: In studies, when compared to conventional
hormone replacement therapy, pellets have been shown to be extremely effective
for relief of menopausal symptoms, maintenance of bone density, restoration of
sleep patterns, and improvement in sex drive, libido, sexual response and
performance, relief of depression, anxiety, irritability, mood swings, and many
others. Pellet implants have been used to treat migraine and menstrual
headaches. It also helps with Vaginal dryness,
incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, to name a few. Moreover, hundreds
of studies show natural testosterone to be HIGHLY PREVENTATIVE against breast
cancer, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s dementia, to name a
few.
Q: Hormone Pellet Therapy for Men: A:
Testosterone levels begin to decline in men beginning in their early 30′s. Most
men need to be tested around 45 years of age. Symptoms of testosterone
deficiency in men include fatigue, lack of mental acuity, loss of libido, and
difficulty achieving, or sustaining erection. It is never too late to benefit
from hormone therapy. Pellet Therapy achieves the sustained levels of
testosterone that would be produced by normally functioning testicles. This
form of therapy is the only kind that produces the natural level of hormone
that men need. Because the testosterone used is totally natural, Pellet Therapy
is ideal for men wanting the benefits of a natural hormone, without the
drawbacks of a synthetic. Moreover, many studies show optimal testosterone
levels in men , over 800, have preventative effects
for many disease states such as: cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease,
prostate cancer, osteoporosis, and more. Typical oral and transdermal forms of
therapy produce “roller coaster” blood levels of testosterone, which can result
in mood and energy fluctuations for the patient. Roller coaster levels of
hormones do not have the same long term benefits as steady state hormone in the
bloodstream.
Q:
What if my primary care physician says that there is ‘no data’ to support the
use of pellet implants? And is it safe?
A: It’s about a patient making an informed choice. Researched and
developed since 1939 in the US and Europe, there is a myriad of data to support
the ‘long term’ safety and efficacy of hormones delivered by pellet implants.
Bioidentical hormone Pellet Therapy is being used safely in 5 continents and
has been studied for 8 decades, not only looking at safety and efficacy but the
prevention of disease states such as breast cancer, heart disease,
osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s dementia, Type 2 diabetes and so much more. There are
hundreds of studies available to practitioners with regards to hormone pellet
therapy, unfortunately most do not know where to find them nor take or have the
time to research the studies. If you would like to learn more, call us today

PERTH Laser Acne Scarring Treatment.
Quick facts PERTH LASER ACNE SCARRING TREATMENT
There are various types of acne scars, each treated
with different methods
Treatment modalities can be divided into;
As a rule, the more invasive the treatment, the
longer the recovery period and the better the results.
What types of
acne scars are there?
Macular scarring – this type of acne scarring is
characterised by flat areas of increased and decreased pigmentation as a result
of acne. Although there are not any indentations in the skin or raised scars,
this is considered as a scar by many patients who have this problem.
Boxcar scars – these acne scars are superficial
punched out scars that have sharp vertical edges on cross section, and can be
round or oval shaped when seen from above.
Rolling scars – these acne scars appear as
undulations in the skin and are usually caused by tethering of the skin to
underlying structures
Deep divots – these are simply very deep scars that
involve loss of subcutaneous tissue volume and result in a large divot.
Ice-pick scars – deep but small holes in the skin,
similar to the indentation left by an ice-pick.
Hypertrophic scarring – where there is a raised and
often pigmented scar as a result of acne.
Keloid scars – where the size of the scar is
significantly raised, red/purple, and disproportionate to the size of the
initial trauma caused by the acne

What categories of severity of acne scars are there?
Grade 1Macular scarring or flat scarring that is
characterised by flat areas of increased or decreased pigmentation visible from
greater than 50cm.
Grade 2
Mild disease that is visible at distances of less
than 50cm and can be covered by make-up. Examples include mild rolling acne
scars.
Grade 3
Moderate disease that is visible at 50cm or greater
and is not easily covered with make-up or the normal shadow of a shaved beard
hair. Stretching the skin can flatten the scar. Examples include more
significant rolling scars, shallow boxcar scars, and mild to moderate
hypertrophic scars.
Grade 4
Severe disease as in grade 3 but scarring is not
flattened by stretching the skin. Examples include severe boxcar scars, deep
divots, ice pick scars, and hypertrophic/keloid scarring (very raised/pigmented
scars).
Skin care for acne scarring
Acne commonly induces changes to skin pigmentation
and skin tone. This occurs particularly on olive or darker skin types affected
by acne. Hyperpigmentation can occur after trauma to the skin induced by an
acne lesion. The hyperpigmentation that occurs is usually a result of
inflammation caused from acne, and is called post-inflammatory
hyperpigmentation. Hypopigmentation, or a loss of pigmentation, can also occur as a
result of acne, can often be permanent. Redness of the skin is common after an
acne lesion has passed.
In many cases, these changes in skin pigmentation
tend to resolve themselves with time, once the active acne has subsided. Often
patients will want to expedite this process, as natural regression of this
problem can often take more than a year.
The key priority is to treat any active acne, and often using medical
grade skin care can be helpful. Retinoids, or
analogues of vitamin A, can help skin turnover and keratinisation (which can
block pores) and reduce acne. Using a
non-comodogenic sunscreen can also help to reduce
post-acne skin tone changes. Occasionally, a skin lightening agent can be used
to help treat hyperpigmentation caused by acne also.
It is important to also address on the general
quality of the skin as well as treating the acne scars per se. This helps to
reduce the overall appearance of acne scarring.
PERTH LASER ACNE TREATMENT.
Perth Laser treatments for acne scarring
Laser resurfacing with a carbon dioxide laser and/or
erbium laser is a method of treating acne scarring. They ablate (remove via vapourisation) the top layer of skin and this results in
growth of smoother new skin which lessens the appearance of scarring. Laser
resurfacing with these lasers not only addresses the issue of acne scars, but
also can significantly improve the appearance of sun damaged
(pigmented/wrinkled) skin. Although this is a very effective treatment, there
is usually a two week recovery period associated with the procedure. Medicare
rebates often apply for the treatment of facial acne scarring with a carbon
dioxide or erbium laser.
More recently, fractional lasers have been used for
the treatment of acne scarring. Instead of treating the whole skin surface,
small columns of laser energy are fired into the skin, and the skin in between
these columns is spared. This leads to faster healing times, and less risks and
complications from treatment. One of the first fractional lasers used was the Fraxel laser. This is classified as a non-ablative laser,
that is, it does not vapourise any tissue, but
instead heats columns of tissue with laser energy. It is this heat energy that
stimulates new collagen production in the skin.
Fractional carbon dioxide lasers have been an even
more recent development that can provide superior results to Fraxel treatments, but have a longer recovery period than Fraxel.Fractional carbon dioxide lasers are ablative
lasers, that is, they vapourise columns of skin as
well as heat the skin. By ablating as well as heating the tissues, more
collagen stimulation and new skin formation occurs and it is possible to
achieve superior results to non-ablative lasers. At PERTH Laser Acne Scarring Treatment we use the Lumenis Ultrapulse fractional
carbon dioxide laser with the Active Fx and Deep Fx hand piece for the treatment of acne scars. The Active Fx targets the superficial skin, whilst the Deep Fx targets deeper skin.
The recovery period from fractional carbon dioxide laser treatment
ranges from 3 to 10 days depending on the intensity of the treatment.
Our Medlite q-switched Nd:YAG laser, which is used also
for tattoo removal and pigmentation removal, can also be used at settings to
help promote collagen production and help improve mild superficial acne
scarring to help raise small indentations in the skin. The advantage of this
treatment is that it has only a small amount of downtime in comparison to the
above treatments, however multiple treatments need to be performed. Usually,
several treatments are required. There have been clinical studies showing the
effect of this laser on flattening the topography of scarred skin, and a
general overall improvement in skin texture and smoothness.
Volume replacement for acne scarring
In many cases, volume loss occurs under the skin as
a result of acne, in particular cystic acne. Replacing volume can aid in the
treatment of acne scarring.
Dermal fillers are a quick and effective means of
replacing volume loss to improve acne scarring. By injecting these dermal
fillers underneath scarring, they help to replace lost volume, and lift the
skin towards its normal level.
Alternately, fat can be transferred from the
abdomen, hips or thighs, and be injected underneath the areas of scarring. As
well as providing additional volume to the area, fat contains stem cells which
help in the skin regeneration process. Fat transfer can be combined with
treatments such as skin needling or laser treatments in the same session to
synergise the treatments.
PERTH LASER ACNE
SCARRING TREATMENT Non-laser
treatments for acne scarring
Skin needling is an older but very effective method
of treating superficial acne scars by puncturing the skin with multiple fine
3mm (long) needles attached to a small rolling pin. This stimulates collagen
production and helps to lift up any ‘indented’ scars. The advantage of this
treatment is the fact that it can be used on all skin types including darker
skin types. People of Asian, Indian, African, and European background are able
to have this treatment with less risk pigmentation changes in comparison to
laser treatments post-needling. Also, it penetrates very deeply so that
collagen can be stimulated on deeper acne scars. Skin needling generally
requires several treatments, usually once a month. Usually it takes 3 to 7 days
to recover from the treatment, depending on the degree of the treatment.
TCA CROSS is a simple yet effective method of
improving acne scarring. It is most commonly used for small indented acne
scars. It involves careful placement of high concentrations of trichloroacetic acid into the scar with a toothpick. This
stimulates the production of new collagen and remodelling of existing collagen
to fill in the acne scar. The advantage of this treatment is that it is
localised to the problem only and not the unaffected skin.
Subcision is another technique that is suitable for treating
depressed acne scars. The size of the scar usually needs to be fairly large or
deep. It involves putting a special needle under the depressed scar. Often acne
scars are depressed because the skin is tethered to the underlying tissues
Chemical peels are another method of treating more
superficial acne scarring. Generally, medium to deep chemical peels are
required to achieve a significant result, but a series of more superficial chemical
peels could help achieve some improvement in milder acne scarring without
significant downtime.
Microdermabrasion is a technique that can also help,
but only extremely slightly, with mild acne scarring. It uses a gentle vacuum
to bring your skin in contact with a diamond-coated head that gently abrades
the top layer of dead skin. This stimulates collagen production and helps with
scarring. Generally, more than 10 treatments are required and the results are
usually slight, and certainly a lot less dramatic than the other treatments
mentioned here. There is virtually no downtime with microdermabrasion, although
there may be some redness that persists for a few hours.

Perth Laser Hair removal
Perth Laser
hair removal is the process of removing unwanted hair by means of exposure to
pulses of laser light that destroy the hair follicle. It had been performed
experimentally for about twenty years before becoming commercially available in
the mid-1990s. One of the first published articles describing laser hair
removal in 1998. The efficacy of Perth Vaginal Reconstruction laser hair
removal is now generally accepted in the dermatology community and laser hair
removal is widely practiced in clinics, and even in homes using devices
designed and priced for consumer self-treatment. Many reviews of laser hair
removal methods, safety, and efficacy have been published in the dermatology
literature.
The primary
principle behind Perth West Australia laser hair removal is selective photothermolysis (SPTL), the matching of a specific
wavelength of light and pulse duration to obtain optimal effect on a targeted
tissue with minimal effect on surrounding tissue. Lasers can cause localized
damage by selectively heating dark target matter, melanin, in the area that
causes hair growth, the follicle, while not heating the rest of the skin. Light
is absorbed by dark objects, so laser energy can be absorbed by dark material
in the skin, but with much more speed and intensity. This dark target matter,
or chromophore, can be naturally-occurring or artificially introduced.
Perth Laser
hair removal Melanin is considered the primary chromophore for all hair removal
lasers currently on the market. Melanin occurs naturally in the skin, and gives
skin and hair their colour. There are two types of melanin in hair. Eumelanin
gives hair brown or black colour, while pheomelanin
gives hair blonde or red colour. Because of the selective absorption of photons
of laser light, only black or brown hair can be removed. Perth Laser works best
with dark coarse hair. Light skin and dark hair are an ideal combination, being
most effective and producing the best results, but new lasers are now able to
target black hair in patients with dark skin with some success.
Perth Laser
hair removal lasers have been in use since 1997 and have been approved for
"permanent hair reduction" in the United States by the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA).Under the FDA's definition, "permanent" hair
reduction is the long-term, stable reduction in the number of hairs regrowing
after a treatment regime. Indeed, many patients experience complete regrowth of
hair on their treated areas in the years following their last treatment. This
means that although laser treatments with these devices will permanently reduce
the total number of body hairs, they will not result in a permanent removal of
all hair.
Perth West
Australia Laser hair removal has become popular because of its speed and
efficacy, although some of the efficacy is dependent upon the skill and experience
of the laser operator, and the choice and availability of different laser
technologies used for the procedure. Some will need touch-up treatments,
especially on large areas, after the initial set of 3-8 treatments.

sensitivity in the vaginal area, causing decreased satisfaction during sexual
intercourse and creating a significant quality of life issue. Perth Laser
Incontinence Treatment offers a simple and safe solution that restores the
mucosal quality of the vaginal walls and enhances the sensitivity of vaginal
tissue.
Powerful thermal heating and micro-ablation is applied to
the various layers of the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen regeneration
contracture of elastin fibers, neovascularization and
improved vaginal lubrication. The female genital tissue is restored to a more
youthful state, embedded with thick epithelium, new collagen fibers and decreased vaginal diameter.
Laser Vaginal
Rejuvenation Perth Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)
Perth Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) is an extremely
common and distressing condition that affects a high percentage of women, with
prevalence rates increasing with age. According to the American Urological
Association, there is an estimated prevalence for urinary incontinence of 30%
in women aged 30 to 60 years, with approximately half of the cases attributed
to SUI (15%). Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment is a safe and effective
treatment for this indication, enabling women to enjoy a much more comfortable
life – quickly and with no pain or downtime.
SUI involves involuntary leakage of urine in response to
increased intra-abdominal pressure.
This condition may be caused by a loss of sub-urethral
support, usually as a result of pelvic support structure damage. Patients often
report varying severity of urine leakage during activities that increase
intra-abdominal pressure such as coughing, sneezing, heavy lifting and physical
activity. Using powerful energy to achieve a deep thermal effect, Perth Laser
Incontinence Treatment stimulates collagen renewal as well as contraction of
the elastin fibres, inducing rejuvenation and tissue remodelling. The
technological benefit of a long pulse enables the creation of this powerful
thermal effect, which offers a significant advantage in such procedures.
It treats the entire pre-urethral space, increasing the
thickness of the vaginal walls and providing better support to the mid urethra
underside. The result is a significant reduction in SUI symptoms, improved
control of urination, and long term patient continence.
VAGINAL DRYNESS & RECURRENT INFECTIONS
Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment effectively addresses a
wide range of feminine wellness issues. Dryness and recurrent vaginal
infections are treated through the rejuvenation of the vulvar-vaginal tissue,
which improves vaginal lubrication and normalizes vaginal pH and flora. Perth
Laser Incontinence Treatment utilizes laser treatments to enhance the local
immune system response and help eliminate chronic vaginal infections.
PERTH POST-MENOPAUSE – GSM
GSM (Genito-Urinary Syndrome of
Menopause) is becoming an increasing concern for women worldwide. According to
the North American Menopause Society, by the year 2025 the number of
postmenopausal women is expected to rise to 1.1 billion, more than half of
which will likely experience vulvovaginal symptoms that significantly impact
their lifestyle, emotions and sex life.
The shift in hormones that occurs with menopause can cause
the lining of the vagina to become thinner, drier, less elastic and inflamed.
Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment rejuvenates the vaginal lining, increasing
the thickness of the vaginal walls and restoring natural lubrication. The
treatment reduces uncomfortable symptoms such as itching, burning and friction
and helps improve sexual function.
POST-DELIVERY REHABILITATION
Childbirth involves many physiological changes to a
woman’s body. Post-delivery, the vaginal area may feel stretched and dry and
the pelvic floor may be weakened. Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment
rehabilitates the entire vaginal area by reinforcing and toning vaginal tissue,
restoring its strength and flexibility.

NEW POSSIBILITIES IN OUTPATIENT TREATMENT
Pixel CO2 laser for micro-ablation, deep thermal heating
and tissue remodelling
Alma fractionated CO2 laser is a high-powered laser that
adds unparalleled precision and innovation to outpatient medical care.
Supporting today’s most advanced array of surgical tools, treatment results are
enhanced with Alma’s CO2, leading to new possibilities in minimally invasive
surgical outpatient treatment. Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment harnesses the
power of fractional CO2 laser technology, the gold standard in skin tightening
and rejuvenation, to achieve a deep thermal effect for vaginal collagen
remodelling, without causing aggressive ablation (Figure B). CO2 laser energy
is delivered to the vaginal tissue through a holographic lens that pixelates
the beam to 81 microscopic pixels in a 9×9 ablation pattern. Microscopic columns
of thermal effect penetrates deep into the submucosa, leaving the surrounding
tissue intact. This allows faster healing as the mucosa of the vaginal wall is
rejuvenated. The micro-ablative process contracts existing fibres and
stimulates the formation of new collagen, rejuvenating the target tissue

PERTH LASER INCONTINENCE TREATMENT SLIM PROBE FOR NARROWER
ANATOMICAL STRUCTURES
The new and hygienic, single use Perth West Australia Laser
Incontinence Treatment Slim Probe was
designed to fit women with inherently narrower anatomical structures, as well
as those who have experienced anatomical or histological changes such as
vaginal atrophy or tissue damage resulting from oncology treatments. Working
with this slender probe follows the same protocol as with the standard probe.
FEMICAM DIAGNOSTIC PROBE DIAGNOSTIC PROBE
The Perth Laser Incontinence Treatment vaginal camera is a
diagnostic tool that enables physicians to visualize vaginal mucosa pre-and
post-treatment and evaluate tissue reaction to laser treatment.
The camera is equipped with LED lighting which does not
affect the tissue and can be connected easily to an Android tablet, allowing
physicians to download recorded images for future analysis. This probe provides
physicians with increased gynaecological information based on their ability to
view and record the area, and not only assess it through touch. It offers
valuable data which lets them observe and evaluate the indication more
accurately, better define the treatment, and ultimately achieve improved
clinical results.

Snoring Treatment
It’s estimated
that around 20 per cent of the Perth population snores at night. Snoring isn’t
physically harmful to the person who snores, but it is highly irritating to
anyone kept awake by the noise. More men snore than women, with around one quarter
of males prone to snoring. Snoring may also be a symptom of significant
sleep-disordered breathing or obstructive sleep apnoea.
During sleep,
the muscles of the soft palate and uvula (the structures found in the back of
the throat) tend to relax and vibrate when the person breathes. This happens
both when breathing through the nose or the open mouth. This relaxed tissue
vibrates as air moves back and forth across it, making the characteristic
noise.
Perth Sleep
deprivation and fatigue
Snoring isn’t
harmful and can be left untreated with no ill effects, although sometimes a
person can snore so loudly that they constantly wake themselves during the
night and this can lead to long-term sleep deprivation and fatigue. Snoring has
also been known to put strain on a marriage, since the spouse is regularly
denied a good night’s sleep and may move to another room.

Perth Snoring and
obstructive sleep apnoea
In some cases,
snoring is part of obstructive sleep apnoea. This occurs when the walls of the
throat come together during sleep and block the airway between the voice box
and the back of the nose. After a few seconds, the sleeper makes a strong
breathing effort and restarts breathing. A person with this disorder might wake
up hundreds of times every night. Treatments are available.
The typical
snorer
Snoring is more
likely when you have a cold, sinusitis or some other reason for a stuffy nose.
Snoring is more common when you sleep on your back. Habitual night-time
snorers, however, tend to share certain characteristics. The typical snorer is:

Simple remedies
for snoring
Losing weight
and cutting back on alcohol tends to reduce the severity of snoring, if not
cure it altogether. Other tips include:
Avoid sleeping
tablets.
Sleep on your
side rather than your back.
Treat nasal
congestion.
Make sure the
air in the bedroom is neither too dry nor too humid.
Avoid alcohol
in the hours before bedtime.
Oral appliance
or mandibular advancement splint
A mandibular
advancement splint (MAS) is a dental therapy device similar to a mouth guard,
which if fitted properly, can reduce snoring. Other remedies, such as chin
straps, anti-snoring pillows or ‘drops’ under the tongue, are not useful.
Perth Laser Snoring Treatment
snoring Surgery is not a permanent cure
Surgery might
be considered in extreme cases of snoring. However, there is always a chance
that surgery might only work for a short time or not at all. Surgery is not a
permanent cure.
The techniques
to choose from include:
Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) – the tonsils are taken out and
the soft palate reshaped. This operation is performed under anaesthetic and
requires a hospital stay.
Laser uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (laser treatment) – a laser beam
is used to wound the palate. When the tissue heals, it is usually stiffer
because of scarring. The patient can go home straight after treatment. This
method is generally not successful and so is discouraged by experts.
Somnoplasty – is piecemeal burning of the soft
palate. This method is also now discouraged by experts.
All techniques
are painful for at least 10 days.
Snoring is
noisy breathing through the mouth or nose due to vibrating the soft tissues of
a narrowed throat.
Treating nasal
stuffiness, losing weight and cutting down on drinking can reduce the severity
of snoring.
A mouth guard
has been shown to be effective if fitted properly.
Surgical
options include reshaping the soft palate or treating it with laser therapy,
but these may not be successful.
Perth Laser Snoring Sleep Apnoea Treatment West Australia
Q. I have been
told that I snore loudly. I wake up tired – even after eight to ten hours of
sleep. I toss and turn throughout the night. I have headaches in the morning. I
sleep alone! What is the solution?
A. These are
classic signs of sleep apnoea, a serious and even deadly condition. Weight
loss, CPAP and surgery are possible solutions. Laser surgery will only address
your snoring problem by reducing the intensity of the sound by up to 70%. Laser
surgery is not a cure for sleep apnoea. It does not eliminate all your snoring
problems either.
Q. How long does
the laser procedure take?
A. On the
average, this procedure takes less than an hour but including pre-operative
preparation; you can expect to be in our centre for approximately 3-4 hours.
The procedure is simple done right in our state-of-the-art Perth Sleep Apnea
Clinic. All procedures will be done while you are sedated to reduce any
unwanted issues such as gagging or incontinence. Experience of the surgeon has
a lot to do not only with how fast the procedure could be done but how well and
how precise. We have performed many laser surgery cases. With our changing
technology, Dr. has significantly modified the procedure to be performed in a
single visit.
Q. How do I
know if I have sleep apnoea?
Normally,
patients with sleep apnoea may have certain signs and symptoms such as: day
time sleepiness, loud snoring, stopped breathing at night, restless sleep,
morning headaches, memory loss and night-time disturbances. However, you may
not be aware of your problem, so a sleep study will confirm the presence or absence
of apnoea. Most sleep studies are done in a sleep centre and patients spend the
night in a private room. Many large hospitals are equipped with sleep centres.
During the study, special sensors record the activity of your heart, lungs and
brain; the movements of your muscles; airflow from your nose and mouth; and the
oxygen level in your blood. In addition, your body movements may be videotaped
while snoring; talking or other noises are recorded. A technician watches the
recording on the monitors all night to observe you and make sure there are no
problems with the equipment. If you have severe sleep apnoea, the technician
may provide a device called CPAP (a device that forces room air into your body)
that keeps your air passage open and helps you breathe. CPAP must be used all
the time and your compliance in that regard is crucial in the effectiveness of
it.
Q. Are home
studies available too? Are they reliable?
A. In fact
there are and there is increasing accuracy with these home-testing devices. We
have performed studies that have confirmed accuracy of one such sleep devices
called PAT 100. A revolutionary device that is worn on your wrist and with two
figure probes can determine if you have sleep apnoea or not. Of course it does
not have all those channels of studies as traditional studies in a lab but we
believe it is accurate enough to guide patients in the right track for
treatment.
Q. Do I need a
sleep study prior to the procedure?
A. Of course we
recommend sleep study for all of our patients, however it is not required for
having the procedure done, as we are not claiming that these procedures are
performed to cure sleep apnoea. On the other hand, a post-operative sleep study
is recommended for all patients. During your consultation, in addition to a
detailed review of your medical history, a head, neck and oral examination will
be done and all of your options will be discussed. Once again please remember
that our procedures will not cure sleep apnoea but are designed to reduce the
intensity of snoring.
Q. How quick is
the Perth Laser Snoring Sleep Apnoea Treatment recovery?
A. Perth Laser Snoring Sleep Apnoea Treatment
Recovery is incredibly fast. Patients are able to and encouraged to return to
work and resume normal activity the day after the procedure. Of course each
patient reacts differently to the treatment and recovers differently. We can
never guarantee that you can function normally at work, since some professions
may have restrictions for their employees to work if they are taking narcotic
pain medications, such as pilots or truck drivers, etc. Patients are expected
to have a sore throat for 12-14 days after the surgery. In addition, a soft
food diet is recommended during recovery and we would provide a list of soft
menu items.
Q. What are the
benefits of Perth Laser Snoring Sleep Apnoea Treatment laser surgery?
A. The benefits
of PERTH LASER SNORING SLEEP APNOEA TREATMENT procedures are many compared to
conventional surgical methods. The procedure is handled on an outpatient basis
under a IV sedation and local anaesthesia. Over 90% of
our patients treated have returned to work within a very short period of time.
All of this adds up to less discomfort and more convenience for the patient. In
addition and most importantly are the results. Of thousands of patients treated
by Perth Laser Snoring Sleep Apnoea Treatment since 1992 over 95% have reported
average snoring reduction of 50-75% with stable results even 10 years after
surgery. One factor that can result in relapse or return of snoring is weight
gain.
Q. What are the
side effects of the laser treatment for snoring?
A. Following
the procedure, patients can expect to have a moderate to severe sore throat for
12-14 days. 40% of patients have said the pain was very intense. All patients
however reported relief with narcotic pain medications. Pain medications are
prescribed to help alleviate the discomfort. For the few days, patients should
be on a full liquid diet. The second week after surgery, a soft food diet is
recommended (fish, oatmeal, potatoes, pasta, eggs, etc.). We will provide a
menu for soft food suggestions. When patients feel ready, they can slowly
resume eating regular meals (usually on the third week after surgery). Dryness
of the back of the throat is very common after the procedure indicating an
easier airflow in the nasopharynx. This is important to understand that the
blockage in the throat will be removed so you can breathe easier and get more
air into your lungs but your throat will be dry and stay dry for a long time. Feeling
of lumpiness also may occur in few patients, however both the dryness and
lumpiness feeling could be significantly reduced if you chew gum or swallow
pushing your tongue to the roof of your mouth as often as you can for a period
of 6-12 weeks after surgery. Generally these complications are temporary in
nature but may last for several years. Due to the soft food diet, weight loss
may occur.
Q. Does this
procedure affect the voice in any way?
A. There has
not been any report of voice change with our patients. The uvula and soft
palatal tissue, which are removed during LAUPP, does not have an impact on the
vocal cords. The main purpose of the uvula is to act as a swinging door and
protect liquid or food from entering the nasal passage. However the soft palate
is the reflective device that allows the voice to project outward from the
mouth. Traditional UPPP was reportedly associated with over 5% voice changes.
In thousands of cases treated in our center no one
has had a voice change directly related to our procedures. A temporary voice
change is normal and expected.
Q. What is the
function of the uvula and soft palate?
A. The uvula
and soft palate work as a single unit to seal off the nasal passage when you
drink or eat. The other function of these two structures is to reflect the
sound of your voice out of your mouth rather than your nose. Additionally, they
direct food and liquid into your pharynx and esophagus.
Patients who have severe post-nasal drip use their tongue and uvula to bring
the postnasal phlegm forward to expectorate. This function will be restored by
the swallowing exercise explained in last question. Our extensive experience
with laser surgery and the experience of other practitioners with laser surgery
have proven that removal of the uvula in patients who suffer from severe
snoring would have minimal effect. Once again, the experience of the surgeon is
crucial in avoiding complications.
Q. Do any
insurance companies cover this procedure?
A. This
procedure is performed to treat snoring. Therefore, it is considered cosmetic
in nature and not covered by insurance plans. It is just the same if you were
to have any other cosmetic procedure (tummy tuck, breast augmentation). We
cannot bill your insurance company for this procedure. If the issue is sleep
apnoea, then your insurance company should cover alternative treatment plans
(i.e., a CPAP machine).
Q. What is the
cost of the laser procedure?
A. The cost of
the snoring treatment with laser and RF procedure is $3,500. Keep in mind that
the source of snoring could be from the enlarged uvula, elongated soft palate,
tonsils, adenoids, and voice box, base of the tongue, narrow airway and/or
enlarged nasal passages. In many cases, we can perform both the nasal
radiofrequency and the palatal laser surgery (PERTH LASER SNORING SLEEP APNOEA
TREATMENT) and Tonsillar Radioablation on the same
visit. The fee listed above does not include Tonsillar procedures. Once we
examine you we would determine which procedure is best for you. We do not
perform nasal radiofrequency alone with some exceptions, as this procedure has
not been as promising as we expected it to be once is done by it. A traditional
procedure to correct deviated septum and turbinectomy
may give you better results. As shown bellow removing the blockage in the upper
airway opens up the airway.
Q. I do not
live near Perth Laser Snoring Clinic. Can I still have this procedure done at
your centre?
A. Luckily,
Perth Laser Snoring Clinic is a place worth visiting if you’ve never been to
this historic and beautiful city. Fortunately, the laser procedure can be done
in our office and within fifteen minutes. A traveller can easily plan a two-day
trip, have the surgery, and head home the next day. We usually recommend that
traveling patients spend the night following their surgery in a local hotel so
we can address any issues or problems they may have prior to departing home. If
you decide to travel to our centre for your surgery, call our office so we can
help with your accommodations.
Q. I am a great
sleeper, when I put my head on the pillow I fall sleep in minutes, but I wake
up tired. Why?
A. When you
snore, the airway in the back of your throat could be blocked by your tongue or
the uvula and cause you to stop breathing. You may toss and turn all night not
even knowing anything about that. You then miss the crucial REM sleep and wake
up tired.
There are other
causes besides snoring that causes you to loose sleep. Excitability, anxiety,
nervousness, or the inability to fully relax has caused many people to lose
valuable sleep. When sleep is lost, the next day is spent drinking many cups of
coffee while stumbling through the day. Consider this vicious cycle. You lose
sleep because of interrupted sleep, you’re tired, wake up fatigued and not
rested and don’t do the things that need to get done. Then at night you feel
sleepy while driving, come home and eat dinner and fall sleep right away after
half an hour you snore again and having interrupted sleep. So being a so-called
great sleeper may mean that you actually suffer from an illness of sleep
apnoea.
Q. Who is
affected by snoring?
A. Almost all
of us snore one time or other in our lives, but for some it can be much more
problematic. This habitual snoring (a person who snores all the times) is more
common in males, overweight persons, and usually becomes worse with age. Not
only is it disruptive for the snorer, who can actually awaken him or herself,
but also for the spouse or bed partner. They too are disturbed by the noise and
sleepless nights.
Due to an
increase in population body weight in the globe an increasing number of people
snore. We estimate that in US alone over 60 million people snore. That may even
include children.
Males and obese
people have more problems with snoring.
Snoring tends
to be louder when a person sleeps on their back.
On any given
night if a person consumes alcohol the chances of snoring is increased.
When you don’t
get a restful night because of your snoring or if you suffer from sleep apnoea
your performance is affected.
There are more
than 350 devices registered in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to help
cure snoring.
Q. How much
sleep do I need?
A. The amount
of sleep an individual requires varies from person to person, but most adults
average eight hours of sleep. Sleep plays a vital role in our daily regimen, as
during this dormant period, it recharges and rejuvenates weary body organs and
tissues, and restores the body to an alert state. Interruptions of sleep
patterns will prevent this process. A person’s lifestyle is another variable in
the amount of time he needs to achieve this healthy balance, and to feel well
rested upon awakening.
The quality of
a person’s sleep also factors into the sleep equation. When we drift off to
sleep, we either fall into a deep, restful sleep, or into a shallow, light
sleep. One who normally requires eight hours of sleep, but sleeps shallowly,
will most likely awaken feeling tired. In contrast, if the same individual
sleeps fewer hours, but lapses into a state of deep sleep, he may well awaken
refreshed and invigorated.

Perth wrinkle
relaxer and filler treatment
In Perth, Perth Wrinkle Relaxer
Treatment is a popular and effective
way of reducing and even preventing wrinkles.
Wrinkle relaxers (Botulinum toxin) are purified proteins
which are injected with a very fine needle near muscles that when contracted
draw the skin into lines. Dynamic lines, caused by normal facial expressions
such as smiling or frowning, over time can become static lines that are present
even when the face is relaxed.
Wrinkle relaxers in Perth are often used to treat areas
such as:
Frown lines between the eyes and on the forehead
Crow’s feet
Bunny lines on the side of the nose
Platysmal bands –
prominent lines on the neck.
At Perth Wrinkle
Relaxer Treatment Azure Medical in Cottesloe we can also use Botulinum
Toxin to treat excess sweating in the armpits, clenching of the jaw muscles and
some types of chronic headaches.
Perth Wrinkle Relaxer Treatment Dermal Fillers in Perth
can give more substance and body to certain areas of the face, such as
cheekbones or lips. Facial volume diminishes as we age, and dermal fillers are
specially formulated to replace this volume loss. Our dermal fillers are a
range of top-quality products designed to achieve natural and long-lasting
results.
There are numerous types of fillers available and the
outcome you desire will determine the type of filler used. This will be
discussed at your personalised consultation, where we conduct a full facial
assessment.
We have the option of using a cannula technique which
decreases the chance of bruising and minimises tell-tale signs.
We also strive to make the experience as pleasant and
painless as possible, and offer different methods for achieving this.

specific treatment serums and/or customize the treatment for your unique skin
conditions and needs. Consult your physician or skincare professional for a
skin evaluation and sensitivity test.
How long does the treatment take?
Is there any downtime or pain involved?
Perth HydraFacial Treatments goal
is to help support you in a balanced lifestyle. That’s why Perth Hydrafacial
Treatment is a fast, efficient treatment that takes as little as 30 minutes.
You may put on make-up and return to your normal activities right after the
treatment since there is no downtime.
What results may be expected? How
many treatments are needed to see results? How long do the results last?
Many clients report seeing visible
skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The
smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. We don’t
believe in quick fixes, so one treatment per month is recommended for improving
the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, oily and congested
skin. Continued Perth Hydrafacial Treatment treatments are highly recommended
to maintain skin health results.
Who is Perth Hydrafacial Treatment

Treatment
Perth Omnilux Light Skin
Rejuvenation
Although the ageing of our skin is a complex biological
process there are two main causes: chronological ageing - the effect of time on
our bodies; and photo-ageing - the effect of the sun's harmful rays.
As we grow older, the amount of collagen, the major
supporting protein of the body, diminishes. In addition, the skin becomes less
flexible. This means that our skin becomes drier and thinner as the body's
natural regeneration process slows down, and the skin slowly loses its ability
to retain moisture.
These effects are further compounded by the harmful UVA
and UVB rays in sunlight. These damage the skin by producing enzymes that break
down the skin's supportive structure and so prevent the creation of new
collagen.
Successfully restoring the skin overcomes the effects of
time and exposure to the sun by stimulating the creation of new collagen. It
also aids the detoxification of the skin.
And this is where Perth Omnilux Treatment plays such a
unique and valuable role.
Perth Omnilux Treatment delivers a totally natural method
of light-only skin rejuvenation which uses the body's own natural processes to
help counteract the effects of ageing. Unlike some anti-ageing treatments that
work as a result of the body's response to damage, Perth Omnilux Treatment
stimulates natural processes to rejuvenate the skin.
Because Perth Omnilux Treatment stimulates cells involved
in repair of the skin and increases blood flow, it can be used successfully to
enhance and improve other skin treatments.
Perth Omnilux Treatment can be used after
microdermabrasion, facial peels and laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
therapy, reducing the side effects and speeding up the time your tissue takes
to regenerate. Perth Omnilux Treatment can also be used in combination with
your regular facial treatments and with injections such as Botox and fillers,
helping to maintain the effect of the treatment.
Why choose Perth Omnilux Treatment for Skin Rejuvenation?
Perth Omnilux Treatment light therapy is proven to
stimulate cellular mechanisms responsible for tissue repair. Perth Omnilux
Treatment revive (633nm) therapy stimulates fibroblast activity, leading to
faster and more efficient collagen synthesis and ECM proteins. Perth Omnilux
Treatment revive also increases cell vitality by increasing the production of
cellular ATP. Perth Omnilux Treatment plus (830nm) stimulates the contractile
phase of the remodelling process producing better lineated collagen. In
combination these wavelengths work synergistically to produce better visible
results and hence patient satisfaction.
Before and after Perth Omnilux Treatment combination
therapy showing reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
The various tissues and cell types in the skin have their
own absorption characteristics, absorbing light at specific wavelengths.
Studies have shown that red light therapy such as Perth Omnilux Treatment can
stimulate collagen precursors and enzymes associated with cellular remodelling.
In a single study using Perth Omnilux Treatment revive 91% of volunteers
reported visible changes to their skin indicating that even 5 weeks after the
last treatment there was still a positive effect on the evaluation criteria.
64% reported a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and a perception of softer
skin and 68% reported smoother skin the therapy was well tolerated and there
were no reported side effects. No pain was encountered during the treatment
regime and there were no reported side effects such as erythema and swelling.
Optimum hydration of subject’s skin was seen at 5 weeks
post treatment. Mean elasticity
measurements showed a decrease in the treated side of the face during the treatment
regime.
In a recent independent study, 83% of all subjects
reported a softening of fine lines and wrinkles after a course of Perth Omnilux
Treatment plus and Perth Omnilux Treatment revive combination therapy. Over 75%
reported a marked improvement in skin softness and smoothness.
Digital profilometry supported
the subjective responses with significant improvements in skin roughness and
wrinkle depth.
Pure light….pure science
At Perth Omnilux Treatment we strive to understand how
light therapy works in synergy with our bodies' own natural mechanisms.
As we grow older, the cells that manufacture the skins
supportive structures begin to slow down. Environmental damage from the suns
rays speed up this process and produce free radicals that damage the skin and
the cells that synthesize collagen and elastin.
Using a combination of different lights delivered at
different times we are able to stimulate these cells that help counteract the
effects of ageing.
Unlike some anti-ageing treatments that work as a result
of the body's response to damage, Perth Omnilux Treatment stimulates natural
processes to rejuvenate the skin.
Perth Omnilux to Rejuvenating
Tired Skin
At Perth Omnilux Treatment we have developed 2 different
light sources, Perth Omnilux Treatment plusTM and Perth Omnilux
Treatment revive that work on their own or synergistically.
What is Perth Omnilux Treatment light therapy?
Perth Omnilux Treatment uses a combination of pure, visible
red and infra-red light to stimulate the deeper skin tissue, leading to a
softening of fine lines, improved skin tone and super smooth skin.
How does it work?
Perth Omnilux Treatment light therapy works with the
body's own natural processes to counteract the effects of ageing. The different
lights target specific cells, which are responsible for the synthesis and
repair of the skins supportive structure.
What will I see?
In an independent study over 80% of subjects reported a
softening of fine lines after treatment and 75% reported improvement in skin
softness and smoothness.
Is it safe?
The scientifically designed light source does not have
harmful UVA or UVB. You will experience a feeling of relaxation and well-being
during and after the treatment. The treatment is not painful, there are no
injections involved and there's no patient downtime. Studies have shown that
the majority of clients find the treatment relaxing
How many treatments are needed?
This depends upon your individual treatment regime. Your
aesthetician will advise you on how many treatments may be suitable for your
particular needs.
How long will the treatment take?
Your first treatment will take 45 minutes, allowing for
your initial consultation. Ongoing treatments will typically be 30-minute
appointments, during which the light is administered for 20 minutes.
How long does it take to recover?
There is no need for recovery time, and makeup can be
re-applied immediately after treatment.
Will the results be seen straight away?
This depends upon the treatment options used. The initial affects
you will see are a clearer, brighter and smoother complexion. After the course
of treatments have finished you will still see an improvement in tone, clarity
and skin smoothness. You will also see softening of your fine lines and
wrinkles.
How long will the results last?
This will vary according to skin type and lifestyle and
whether you have combined Perth Omnilux Treatment with other treatments.
However, when you have completed your course, it is usually recommended that
you have one maintenance treatment on a 4-6 week basis, as this will prolong
the results.
Who is Perth Omnilux Treatment light therapy suitable for?
This is a very effective treatment for both men and women
of any age. It is non-invasive and easy to perform.
Perth Omnilux
Perth Dermapen Treatment
Perth Dermapen Treatment is ideal for rejuvenating skin. This
treatment tightens and lifts skin through a fractional micro-needling device.
After receiving
a Perth Dermapen Treatment, you will notice a
decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, smaller more minimized pores, and, if
applicable, can assist to minimize stretch marks, keloid scars, acne scars, or
surgical scars.
Perth Dermapen Treatment offers better, safer results than
rolling micro-needling systems. There is also less pain, bruising, and recovery
time. Perth Dermapen Treatment works by causing ingrowth of collagen.
Ideal regimens are 4-6 treatments over a space of 2-6 months. Each treatment is
done approximately 4-5 weeks apart. Perth Dermapen Treatment is a great
complement to chemical peels, IPL, microdermabrasion, and laser skin
tightening.
WHEN WILL I SEE
RESULTS?
Everyone’s skin
is different, however, most patients see results (smoother, tighter skin) after
about three treatments.
TREATMENT TIME:
About one hour
RECOMMENDED FREQUENCY :
We will discuss
with you a plan after we have examined your skin, but typically we recommend
4-6 treatments every 4-5 weeks.
MEDICATIONS TO
AVOID PRIOR TO TREATMENT:
Please discuss
with us your exact medication list – be sure to mention if you are taking any
photosensitizing medications (Retin-A, autoimmune
therapies) or have extreme or active acne. Sun exposure (tanning) should be
avoided prior to treatment. Do not apply make-up on treatment day. In addition,
gentle care of your skin a few days prior and after treatment is helpful.
POSSIBLE SIDE
EFFECTS:
You will feel
and look like you have a moderate to severe sunburn. Your skin will feel warm
and tight. These sensations should subside within 2 hours after your treatment.
You should be back to your “normal” in about 24 hours.
Perth Vaginal
Reconstruction recommend
that after your Perth Dermapen Treatment
, you avoid direct sunlight for about two weeks. You must apply
sunscreen daily. Dermapen microneedling
is one of our most popular treatments for skin rejuvenation. Celebrity Laser
& Surgery Center was one of the first medical
practices in Los Angeles to offer this highly effective treatment, and we are
now one of the most experienced Dermapen providers in
the world.
WHAT IS
DERMAPEN?
Dermapen is a pen-like microneedling
device with tiny, electronically controlled, vibrating micro-needles in its tip
A light serum
is placed on the face and the Dermapen device glides
over it in a smooth, comfortable manner
Treatments are
precisely controlled to move to a set depth and at a set speed
The skin heals
quickly with a minimum of side effects
Treatments will
stimulate collagen, smooth acne scars, wrinkles and other skin texture problems
Can be used in
all skin types and colours
FDA-approved
BENEFITS OF
DERMAPEN TREATMENT

ADJUNCTIVE TREATMENTS FOR SCARS
For keloids and
hypertrophic scars, we also offer 5-FU/kenalog
injections. Very thick or keloid type scars require more than resurfacing.
Injection of the above medication into the scar causes it to shrink and
flatten. Dermapen
resurfacing after this helps to blur the texture and colour of the scar. Please
call for more information on this treatment.
STEM CELL
TREATMENT AFTER PERTH DERMAPEN TREATMENT AND FRACTIONAL LASER
Stem cells
carry powerful growth factors and are highly stimulating to regeneration and
healing. In conjunction with the DNA Skin Institute, stem cell therapy is now
available as an add-on to Fraxel, Fractional CO2 and Dermapen treatments. At the end of the dermapen
procedure, the stem cell solution is applied. The benefit of stem cell
treatment is more robust collagen and elastin production response from dermapen treatment.
In addition, the number of days of redness is decreased.
Research has
shown that retinol pre and post-treatment also boosts the results of microneedling treatment over and above what the treatment
does alone. We therefore recommend to
start using Neocutis Nouvelle retinol cream starting
1 week before treatment and continue for at least 1 week after treatment.
Perth Dermapen Treatment FAQ
How many
treatments are necessary to achieve a good response?
Improvement is
seen with each treatment but a series of 3-5 treatments is best to achieve
optimal results.
How far apart
are treatments done?
Dermapen treatments can be repeated every 4-6
weeks.
Is Dermapen safe for darker skin types?
Since no
melanin-absorbing laser and no heat are involved, the Dermapen
is relatively safer than lasers, such as IPL, for darker skin types.
Who performs
the treatments?
One of our
Physician Assistants will perform your treatment.
Is Dermapen painful?
Dermapen uses very fine needles and is
relatively comfortable. A topical numbing cream is all that is needed.
How long is
each treatment?
For a face, each
treatment is 30 – 60 minutes.
How is Dermapen different than a needle roller?
Perth Vaginal
Reconstruction Needle
rollers also use needles for skin resurfacing but are often too large and
unwieldy for tight areas. They are also dependent on hand pressure, so the
depth of penetration varies depending on the the
amount of pressure exerted and the softness of the skin, while the Dermapen depth of penetration is set precisely with an
electronic dial. There is also lateral trauma to the skin when the needles on a
roller pull out of the skin as the wheel turns. This does not happen with the Dermapen, which relies only on vertical needle action.
What are the
immediate after-effects?
There is
redness and very minimal bleeding.

Organ Prolapse Treatment In Perth Western Australia
What Is Perth Pelvic
Organ Prolapse?
Prolapse is a general
term for a type of hernia in which a pelvic organ (uterus, vagina, bladder,
small bowel, or rectum) has lost its structural support and falls or protrudes
into the vagina or through the vaginal opening. Often, more than one organ is
involved in prolapse.

vaginal pessary
surgery
Types Of
Surgery
There are many
different types of prolapse surgery, and the best method will depend on patient
details and in some cases on surgeon’s skills. Surgery may or may not include a
hysterectomy. Prolapse surgery may be performed abdominally (open incision or
minimally invasively either via laparoscopy or robotically) or vaginally or as
a combination therapy. In some cases, mesh or biologic graft is used to reinforce
weakened vaginal walls.
In older women,
who no longer plan to be sexually active, an obliterative
procedure (colpectomy/ colpocleisis)
can be performed, which is quite superficial, with low surgical risk and
excellent long term results, but the vagina is left too short for sexual
intercourse.
In many cases
of prolapse, improving pelvic muscle function with a course of pelvic floor
physical therapy is frequently recommended.

Perth
dermatologist offers a number of options to treat acne in patients of any age.
Acne is a common skin problem that starts when dead skin cells and oil clogs
the pores creating whiteheads, blackheads and visible red pimples. Acne remains
the most common skin condition in the U.S., affecting men and women of every
age, although it primarily affects teenagers, as well as middle-aged adults
undergoing hormonal changes. The effects of acne go far beyond visible skin
blemishes. Those with acne are at greater risk of suffering depression and poor
self-esteem. Additionally, acne can leave permanent scars even after the active
symptoms clear. Adults with acne, in particular, are often frustrated to
find that over-the-counter treatments prove significantly less effective now
than when they were teenagers.
Some
individuals are lucky, in that they will rarely experience breakouts or ongoing
acne problems. The majority of people, however, will battle acne on and off
most of their young and middle-adult life. Acne may be as minor as a small
pimple here and there, to inflamed pours and papules. Some will have acne that
is severe enough to warrant some type of surgical or laser procedure,
especially those who have persistent and unsightly cysts and nodules. Treatment
will ultimately depend on the severity of the acne condition.
In many
cases, combining treatments brings forth the most effective results. Successful
acne treatment requires an individualized approach. Custom treatment plans
designed by Perth Laser Acne Treatment may include a combination of the
following:
For those
with severe acne, even professional skin treatments such as laser skin
resurfacing, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels may not provide satisfactory
results. For these men and women, a procedure called acne extraction may be the
best option. During acne extraction, dermatologist Perth Laser Acne Treatment
will remove a large acne cyst, so that it becomes less painful, less visible,
and less likely to leave a scar. Large or deep acne scars can also be removed
surgically in some cases. During this procedure,Perth Laser Acne Treatmentgoes
deep into the root to unclog the pour and surgically extract the infected
particle.
Perth Laser
Acne Treatment may attempt laser treatment before extraction. Acne laser
surgery is able to address acne deep at the root, cleaning the infected pours.
During an in-office appointment, the laser cleans, purifies and replenishes
each acne spot and the surrounding area. A special vacuum gently lifts the acne
impurities closer to the skin’s surface, and a broadband light is used to
destroy acne-causing bacteria. Once the acne pours have been treated and are
still “open”, topical ointments are applied to help keep the area clean and
replenished.

What
Causes Acne?
Clogged
skin pores are the common precursor to all types of acne – blackheads,
whiteheads, pimples and cysts. Hormone surges, associated with puberty,
menstruation or other conditions cause excessive skin oil (called sebum) that
promotes clogging of pores. Blackheads (called open comedones)
are sebum and dead skin clogged pores that retain an opening to the skin
surface. Whiteheads (called closed comedones) develop
when the surface opening becomes blocked. Excess sebum also promotes overgrowth
of P. acnes bacteria that cause inflammatory acne, or pimples, that appear red,
warm, swollen or painful. Large, deep inflammatory acne lesions are called acne
cysts or nodules. Acne cysts or nodules can be very painful and heal with
scarring. Heredity factors also play a role in acne and or acne scar
development.
Acne
Myths
#1
– Acne is caused by poor hygiene.
#2
– Acne is caused by diet. Extensive scientific studies have failed to
demonstrate a clear relationship between diet and acne. However, recent studies
suggest that a high glycemic index diet (i.e. foods
rich in carbohydrates) may promote acne. Eating greasy, fatty foods has not
been proven to cause or aggravate acne. However, working in an oily
environment, such as a kitchen with fry vats, can promote acne because these
cooking oils tend to get on your skin and block pores like sebum does.
#3
– Acne is just cosmetic. Acne and or resultant scars can certainly affect a
person’s self esteem and how he orPerth Laser Acne Treatmentinteracts socially.
#4
– You have to just let acne run it’s course. Modern
medicine can control or cure acne; preventing or minimizing scars.
#5
– Cosmetics cause acne. Oil-Free, non-comedogenic
(i.e. non pore-clogging) make-ups, moisturizers and sunscreens do not cause or
worsen acne nor do they interfere with the actions of acne medications.
Skin
Care for Acne:
Wash
your face gently twice per day with a skin cleanser formulated for acne, like
our Acne Clarifying Cleanser.
Additionally,
using water, rinse sweat off after exercise or related activities.
Astringents
(alcohol), masks, toners, exfoliators may or may not be helpful. Overuse may cause irritation, especially when
combined with medications. Use as directed by your Dermatologist.
Avoid
greasy / oily hair-care products that can clog pores and promote acne. Also,
shampoo daily if your hair is oily.
Do
not pick, pop or squeeze acne, as this causes irritation / inflammation,
worsens acne, prolongs healing and increases your risk of scarring.
Use
skin care products & makeup that are oil-free and “non-comedogenic”.
Non-comedogenic skin care products do not clog skin
pores. Also, remove makeup regularly at the day’s end.
Treatment
Options for Acne:
Treatment
options include:
topical
medications (cleaners and leave-on medications or products)
oral
medications [usually, antibiotics or isotretinoin (Accutane)]
extractions
/ drainage & intra-lesional injections for acne
cysts / nodules
chemical
peels
laser
and light-based therapies (infra-red light, Blu-U
blue light, and photodynamic therapy (PDT) among others)
Generally,
we treat mild facial acne with topical acne medications only. Moderate to
severe or extensive acne is treated with a combination of topical and oral
medications. Antibiotics are our usual
first line oral medication choice, while isotretinoin (Accutane) is for more
severe acne or antibiotic failure. Anti-androgen hormone Spironlactone
(Aldactone) is another oral option for females who
have failed antibiotics, as are certain hormone combination-type oral
contraceptives.
Although
isotretinoin is nearly 100% effective and the only medicinal acne cure,
significant, but rare side effects require monthly office visits and blood
checks.
For
more info about isotretinoin (aka Accutane, Amnesteen,
Claravis, Sotret), please
download the iPledge Patient Introduction
Isotretinoin Brochure or the Accutane MedGuide or
visit the isotretinoin iPledgeProgram website).
Intralesional injectionable
medications (i.e. diluted corticosteroids) are reserved for larger, painful inflammed acne cysts / nodules. Occasionally, an
acne-related abscess (pus collection) will require incision and drainage. Adjunct
treatments include microdermabrasion, acne facials, chemical peels and laser or
light-based therapies, including Blu-U blue light or
PDT. Safe, painless infrared laser or other light-based therapies for acne and
acne scars is an effective alternative to isotretinoin for difficult or
persistent acne.

TAD AZURE Perth
Hi
Richard
Here are the domains I have for the
sites we will create.
It
will take 2 - 3 weeks...each of the 13 sites will have lots of tab pages
for the services you listed
Will
create 100's of page 1 results
When
I priced this I priced it for 9 sites ...I needed 13... the price doesn't
change.
I
will send you an invoice for the setting up costs being as quoted $1000... all
goes to programmers time... I do my setting up work at
to charge.
Ive put the costings i sent at the
bottom under the sites list.
Let
me know if all is correct with you... this is going to be a very interesting
program ... it will create serious volumes of hits
Cheers
George

Cost
to
build 9 major sites. We will do them all for core programming cost of just
$1000 (only because I do 90% of it before it goes to the final programmers)
Thereafter
- we tweak the sites constantly and add search terms every month to get better
positions and free google places map positions.
To
maintain and host the entire portfolio we would need $870 a month

Cost
To set up the 9 sites – direct them to you etc I do all of my personal work for free… when it comes to
doing the actual programming I have superb brilliant programmers doing that bit
that I have to pay.
You would know it would cost at least $20K to build
9 major sites. We will do them all for core programming cost of just $1000
(only because I do 90% of it before it goes to the final programmers)
Thereafter - we tweak the sites constantly and add
